Ah, summer .. a season of connection and slowing down to enjoy the simple things. The summer of 2020 has looked a little different for us all, due to the pandemic, however we hope you have been able to indulge in some of your favorite things about the season. One thing remains the same, and that is - summer comes briskly into our lives and just as as quickly makes its exit. We thought it was appropriate to focus on CONNECTION to make the most of the long summer days that we have left and help you to recognize that the relationships we have with ourselves, our loved ones and the world around us continues on in any season. Let's nurture them and make them stronger.
At Curves Ahead, we take pride in bringing you experts that we personally love and utilize in our daily life. Many of them are local, so you can tap into their genius and work with them one-on-one, but we also love the gurus that are out there in the world helping thousands - even millions of people.
We gathered two of our favorites to share with you as we focus on deepening our connection with ourselves in this season.
Byron Katie is the creator of "The Work," which is a method that helps with self-inquiry that aids you in overcoming limiting beliefs about people and situations that arise in daily life. In your transformation toolkit below you will find a "Judge your neighbor worksheet" to try on your own. You can also click on the 'learn more button' to watch a tutorial on how to fill it out and the benefits of the method.
Rachel Hollis is the author of "Girl, Wash Your Face" - a wildly popular self-help book that women have gravitated toward since 2018. Click the link to get your copy as we will be reading it together as we move into the end of summer. It's a light-hearted, quick read that we think you'll enjoy and gain some internal perspective from. We can't wait to read it and discuss together!
